A John Arne Riise own goal gave Luton, who had just entered administration, a massive Anfield pay day.

Tuesday 15th January 2008 (5.15pm)

Liverpool 5-0 Luton Town
A Steven Gerrard hat-trick put pay to the plucky Londoners, who had struggled to put out a side.
4th Round
Saturday 26th January 2008 (3pm)

Liverpool 5-2 Havant and Waterlooville
Non League Havant took the lead twice in the first half as the FA Cup was re-vitalised. The reds took command in the second half.
5th Round
Saturday 16th February 2008 (3pm)

Liverpool 1-2 Barnsley
The reds involvement in the tournament comes to an embarrassing halt as Barnsley win with pretty much the last kick of another 'missed chances' game for the reds.
