And so on to the 3rd derby in just over a fortnight as Everton this time host Liverpool for the 211th Merseyside derby.
After two 1-1’s in the Premiership and the FA Cup game at Anfield the good news is that this will have to be settled on the night. Extra time and penalties should they be needed will be the order of the day.
Everton took the lead against the run of play at Anfield a week last Sunday before Steven Gerrard equalised. All eyes will be on the reds team selection with a weekend game against Portsmouth at the forefront of most Liverpool fans minds.
Everton are expected to recall Sideshow Bob who was unavailable in the previous two derbies due to suspension.
