FA Premier League
Sunday 17th May, 1.30pm @ The Hawthorns

Mathematically West Brom won’t have been relegated by the time Liverpool play them, but Manchester United could be champions in a game that will see Liverpool take on West Brom for possibly the last time for a while, although West Brom will know that they have to get something out of this game to stand any chance of staying in the Premier League.

Liverpool ran out 3-0 winners at home last November in a game which saw Robbie Keane break his Premiership goalscoring duck for the reds.

Steven Gerrard, newly crowned Footballer of the Year, is one goal away from his highest ever goalscoring tally in a season and Xabi Alonso is also expected to return following injury.

History

In the 7 Premier League games between these two sides in the past 7 years, West Brom haven’t scored a goal.  The reds have scored 22 goals without reply winning all 7 of the last games.

West Brom’s last victory against Liverpool was in 1981 when they won 2-0 at their place in the old First Division.
