Pacheco Handed Number 12

Liverpool’s young Spanish starlet Daniel Pacheco has been handed the number 12 jersey for the new season.

It is believed that this is a move to let Pacheco know that he’s in the manager’s plans for the forthcoming season.

The club released a statement saying:

Liverpool have handed Daniel Pacheco the No.12 jersey for the new season.

The Spanish starlet, who made his first competitive start for the Reds in the Europa League clash with FK Rabotnicki last week, takes over the number from Fabio Aurelio after the Brazilian opted for the No.6 shirt.

Other players to have worn the No.12 jersey for Liverpool in recent years include Ronnie Whelan, Jerzy Dudek and Sami Hyypia.

Pacheco previously held No.47 at Anfield.

Let’s hope that Pacheco proves to be an irreplaceable member of our squad this season.

Fabio Aurélio has been given the number 6 jersey.

  1. This guy will be as good as Torres… Put him and ngog up and in 5 years we will have most lethal partnership in the world with Torres as back up

  2. Great news, the boy has some talent and hopefully he will get the chance to shine and become a regular in the team under Roy
