The reds head to Parc des Princes for tonight's Champions League clash.
PSG, storming away with their own domestic league, will want to gain revenge on the reds for the opening European game defeat at Anfield.
The reds have made heavy work of the group since that opening night - losing away at both Napoli and Red Star Belgrade and looking to avoid yet another away defeat in this competition.
A wiin away at PSG tonight for Liverpool would ensure qualification for the next round, failure to win tonight and Liverpool's fate will be decided in their final game at Anfield in two weeks time.
- The home side have won all three meetings in all competitions between PSG and Liverpool, with the French side winning 3-0 in the only previous match played in Paris (3-0 in 1996-97 Cup Winners' Cup semi-final)
- PSG are unbeaten in their last 20 home group-stage games in the Champions League, winning 15 and drawing five, since losing 3-1 to CSKA Moscow in December 2004
Come on you reds..
As it happened...
Here's tonight's reds
Alisson, Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Keita, Sturridge, Shaqiri, Matip, Alexander-Arnold.
And here's how PSG line up tonight
Buffon, Kehrer, Silva, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Bernat, Verratti, Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar, Cavani.
Subs: Areola, Dani Alves, Choupo-Moting, Draxler, Rabiot, Diaby, Nsoki
5 minutes to go...
3' Mbappe drags a shot wide, deflection off Lovren and it's a Paris corner
.. and the reds defend it. Liverpool now deep into the PSG half.
7' Angel Di Maria attempts an effort from the edge of the area. Alisson tips it out for a corner.
From the corner a cross is in and Thiago Silva heads straight at Alisson - ruled offside. Good reflex stop by our keeper in any case.
12' Neymar takes a little tumble. Ref waves play on. Mbappe fires low but Alisson is down.
LFC are chasing shadows here.
13' And that was coming. It's too easy for PSG.
Bernat with lots of space collects the ball in the area and fires past the reds keeper.
17' Wijnaldum booked after a 'foul' on Neymar who went down like he was seriously injured.
Funnily enough he's able to take the free kick, which very nearly causes some problems for the reds.
19' Not sure what happened there. He rolled off the pitch after failing to take a chance and then as Alisson was about to take a goal kick - he rolled back on.
He's up now.
That midfield trio look stale, we bought 3 new in the summer and yet fabinho Keita and shaqiri are all on the bench.....— Martyn Wooles (@martyn_wooles) November 28, 2018
22' Milner is down the side - plays it to the corner of the area. Salah drags a shot wide on the inside post.
We should have worked the keeper there.
25' Naughty challenge from Verratti on the advancing Joe Gomez.
Referee goes straight to his yellow card for Verratti.
A fast break from Paris, they're all over the Liverpool defence.
Neymar sends in a ball across the 6 yard box and Alisson saves at Cavani's feet. Robertson hooks it away.
35' Referee goes over for a chat with Milner. Neymar, predictably, is the player on the floor rolling around.
36' It's another for PSG and this time it's Neymar.
Mbappe powering down the wing, his shot can only be pawed away by Alisson. Simple tap in for the Brazilian.
Liverpool's misery away from home in European football is continuing right now.
39' Long throw from Joe Gomez into the box. But a PSG defender is down and it's a free kick for the home team. Foul by Virgil van Dijk.
41' Milner sends in the free kick but it's way over hit.
42' There was an opportunity for a shot there but Henderson opted for a cross - it goes out for a goal kick.
Would Shaqiri/Keita have attempted the shot there?
44' Foul on Mane by Di Maria. Ref initially gave a corner but someone's talked some sense into him.
45+1' James Milner beats Gianluigi Buffon. A goal back. The reds are back involved.
It was pretty much all PSG in that half. Plenty of rolling around in agony from Neymar. Pure pace from Mbappe and an absent midfield from the reds.
But Liverpool end the half converting a penalty and will be hoping for a better second half.
I think we still need to make some attacking substitutions in the second half to go for this. Shaqiri or Keita on for, lets be honest here, any of the current three midfielders.
We're back underway. Liverpool need to throw caution to the wind and try and get back into this game.
Here we go
46' One minute into the half. Free kick for PSG. Mbappe on the floor, Neymar standing over the ball.
This is some way out though.
It's flicked in and Marquinho puts it in. OFFSIDE.
49' Thiago Silva with his arms all over Firmino. Eventually the ref signals the foul.
56' Robertson cross defended by Silva. It's a Liverpool corner.
Silva celebrating the interception like it was a goal-line clearance.
57' Ahh sloppy. Firmino overcooks a cross and it's gone all the way over the other side for a throw in.
60' Robertson cross into the box - it's too fast at Firmino and he can't redirect the header on target.
65' Cavani and Di Maria are off. Choupo-Moting and Dani Alves are on.
66' Naby Keita comes on for Gini Wijnaldum.
Come on lad. Make yourself a hero.
69' Reds back under pressure after those sub changes...
Neymar with the corner and Alisson forced to push Marquinhos headed chance away.
71' Roberto Firmino, he's been disappointing tonight, is off.
On comes Daniel Sturridge.
77' Xherdan Shaqiri comes on to replace James Milner.
Keita, Shaqiri, Salah, Mane, Sturridge all on the field.
83' A LFC free kick becomes an LFC corner.
Is there an equaliser to come in this game?
85' Mbappe off and Rabiot (a holding midfielder) now on. They want to see this out.
89' The clock is ticking closer to the end. Liverpool free kick about 25 yards out.
Free kick goes in, ref blows for a foul on Thiago Silva who is down on the ground again.
5 minutes of injury time.
90+2 And now a dangerous free kick for PSG. 30 yards out. Neymar over it.
Alisson saves it down low but pushes it out for a corner.
Into the final few seconds...
Paris Saint Germain 2-1 Liverpool
The reds were better in the second half but that's another away defeat in Europe for Liverpool. A shocking run of results.
One game to go.
The reds can go through if they beat Napoli by two clear goals OR it is 1-0 to the reds. Yeah it's complicated.
Tuesday 11th December for that one.
We kept fighting and now we've got to keep it in our hands by winning at Anfield.
We didn't start well and they started quickly. We didn't start at 100% and you get punished in the Champions League.
We're massively disappointed by that. Now we've got to finish it off at Anfield.
(On Verratti tackle on Gomez) It looked quite high but I'm not too sure. I'm sure we put a few tackles in.
The start was like we were expecting to be honest. We had a couple of chances were we made the wrong decisions. Shooting into a group of players things like that.
We never got 100% to our game, but it was enough of our game to get a result here tonight.
(On the ref) We had two or three decisions tonight. We are one of the fairest teams in England. If you look at the stats tonight (yellow cards) then we look like butchers.
We have to use Anfield one more time.
We are calling on Anfield right now.'
Well that makes Champions League qualification interesting.
It's set to be another Olympiakos night at Anfield then in two weeks.
Remember the reds go through by either winning 1-0 or by winning by two clear goals. Unless of course Red Star beat PSG (which we hope they do).
Next up - the Merseyside derby. Anfield, Sunday, 4.15pm.
