Everton hold Liverpool at Anfield: 0-0

Everton defended resolutely to hold Liverpool to a 0-0 draw in the 205th Merseyside Derby.

Craig Bellamy had a first half goal ruled out for offside (which it was) but Liverpool dominated the second half. Everton camped out in their own half, and baldy Andy Johnson nearly grabbed a winner on one of Everton’s few counter-attacks.

The blues held out and will no doubt be crowing about their ‘draw’ over the coming days. Expect an exclusive Everton DVD to be produced soon.

  1. times r bad when r strikers cant score against a dried up 35 year old and then takes r only effective striker of sumtimes dont understand wat goes thru his head…so basically we can look 4ward 2 another empty season

  2. a very poor display by us reds, too many high balls, bad passes and poor shooting. a lack of quality against a limited, negative side. Very dissappointing display
