Benitez gives Nemeth backing

Kristzian Nemeth

Rafa Benitez reflected on Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Singapore earlier today and gave special praise to Kristzian Nemeth.

“It was a good game. We worked hard and played at a high tempo with a professional mentality.

“I think we are improving physically every single day.

“Some of the players returned late from international duty so it was important for them to play for 30 minutes.

“You can see that some of them are a little bit tired, but the mentality and attitude was good and it was a very good game.”

“We can now rest a little bit, spend some time with our families and afterwards start to train again.

Liverpool fly straight back to Merseyside and will train at Melwood before heading to Barcelona to take on Espanyol next Sunday.

Benitez gives Nemeth backing

  1. Nemeth seems a decent prospect but we still need a proven forward to assist Torres or replace him when he’s injured. We’re asking too much from Torres to remain in-form and injury free all season.

    • yea i agree with u there he is a very good player for his age and is way better than ngog, which got some games last season, so hopefully we will get to see nemeth in some 1st team games next season

  2. Fairplay Nemeth had a good game, but lets not forget mr liverpool at the back. Game in game out he is always fantastic and without super Stevie he stands out as a captain.
If it wasnt for his love of the club and his proffesional attitude then he would be just a normal central defender. Keep it going Cara and dont re-think about international retirement as you are playing your best football of you career since you retired so you can concentrate just on our beloved LFC.
    Well done boys

  3. Good start from Nemeth but he has to work like a Trojan to force his way in permanently, It’s up to him now, Nice to see the kids doing well.

  4. Great to see Nemeth, pacheco, kuyt and benayoun. Pacheco was unbelievable in his new role. He has a great vision of the game and a great future at LFC.
