As we exclusively revealed back in January, Liverpool and adidas were deciding between a white and black shirt for the new away kit for 2009/10.

It appears that the rejected design for the away shirt will become our new 3rd kit this summer (and European away shirt).

The new shirt is expected to be released in the final week of August.

Our new third shirt will be predominantly white featuring red adidas piping and also a green Carlsberg logo.

New LFC 3rd Shirt 2009-10 revealed

Alongside the email we received, we have been told that the new third shorts will be white with red adidas piping – similar to the reds away kit in the double-winning year of 1986.  In the event of any unlikely colour clash Liverpool can use either their red home shorts, or black away shorts.

  1. At least its the traditional change colours!!
I wish now they would lose the crest badge and bring back the old liverbird with LFC and 2 flames eitherside????

  2. Glen Johnson Is Wearing no.2 I think this jersey sucks. It’s Almost identical to the 07/08 Away Kit! Why? They need new ideas. I’m a Liverpool fan. I usually buy the jerseys, but I’m not buying this one!

  3. I think the kit is pretty good. Hopefully this years kits will prove lucky and we’ll win the title and the champions league. BTW who knows what shirt number is Glen Johnson wearing for us?

  4. would like to see the green sleaved white centre with the addidas strips in black from the centre (the away shirt 94/95 season) as our third kit next season

  5. AT LAST A NICE ADIDAS SHIRT!! THEY HAVE AT LAST MOVED THE ADIDAS LOGO FROM THE CENTRE OF THE SHIRT TO THE RIGHT SIDE. GIVES IT A MORE BALANCED LOOK.

  6. Why didn’t they just use the exact same shirt design as the black one and modify the colours? I hate the grandad collar on this one and the little patch of stripes on the sleeve, it looks sh***y and cheap.

  7. Adidas proved yet again that they can’t make nice shirts. The ugly stripes are as usual spoiling the shirt. Can’t they for once make a clean shirt even f*cking nike manage do make nice shirts. Germans and design don’t ad up (except from Puma) just look at the Banana shirt they made for Newcastle. I wish Liverpool switch to Kappa or Puma.
    YNWA
    Do not sell Alonso !
and 5m £ isn’t enough for the EC winner Arbeloa

  8. LOL ‘GAZ’, thats just an image of the original that someone has photo-shopped red over the lining and the ‘carlsberg’.

personally i like all 3 kits for this season, showing serious contemplation of how the players would feel wearing it. Got to buy each one bar the home strip – preferred the previous one with the collar to this years.

Considering most Champs league games are played at night, the white will be clearly visible etc.

    Good work ‘Pool

  9. hopefully, the improvement in shirts (compared to the grey and ‘teal – isn’t that a type of duck’ ones of recent times ae going to be reflected on the pitch this season – COME ON!

can someone at anfield-online put together an image of all this coming seasons kits, including shorts & keepers kit, please???
