The draw for the last 32 and last 16 of the Europa League (formerly the UEFA Cup) had been made in Switzerland. All games are in the traditional two legs knockout format.

The reds will face Romanian side Unirea Urziceni.

The Romania’s like Liverpool finished third in their Champions League group, managing to get more points than the reds (8). They beat Sevilla and Rangers. Sevilla finished top of the group with Stuttgart finishing second.

Liverpool will play the match against Unirea at Anfield on Thursday 18th February at 7.45pm. The second leg, will be played a week later on the 25th February 2010.

Because of the clash with Everton’s home game, Everton’s game has been moved to the Tuesday 16th February at 5.45pm. Liverpool got priority for finishing higher in the league last year.

  1. its a sign of where we are as a club that we should be thinking anything less than 2 wins against these absolute no names…… lucas cost us more than their whole 3 grades.
