Hicks Jnr quits after abusing fan

Tom Hicks Jnr resigns after his foul-mouthed outburst

Liverpool have announced that Tom Hicks Jnr has resigned from the Liverpool FC board and the board of parent company Kop Holdings.

Over the weekend details were revealed of an email conversation between Liverpool fan Stephen Horner and Tom Hicks’ son.

In the emails, the Liverpool supporter expressed concern over the fact that the clubs owners had failed to invest in new player investment in the last 2 years.  He also expressed his disgust at Liverpool’s enormous debt mountain that is currently costing the club around £30M a year in interest payments.

Tom Hicks Jnr replied with:

“Blow me, f**kface. Go to hell, I’m sick of you.”

However, the club’s American owners have merely given another of Hicks’ allies a place on the board.

“Liverpool Football Clubtoday announce that Thomas Hicks Jr has resigned as a director of both the club and its parent company Kop Holdings.

“Three new directors have been elected to the boards of both companies. These are Philip Nash, LFC chief financial officer; Ian Ayre, LFC commercial director; and Casey Coffman, executive vice president of Hicks Holdings.”

It continues to be clear that the Hicks’ family are continuing to fail in their obligation to be custodians for Liverpool Football Club. A club that has always been proud of the relationship between the club and the supporters.

As Liverpool struggle on with no player investment and continue to suffer a huge financial burden the message remains that we still want Hicks and Gillett out.

  1. all liverpool fans should back rafa and get rid of those americans there doing nothing for the club…..sorry they are doing something for the club digging us a big grave so we all fall into it…..so get rid of americans dont need them BACK RAFA

  2. It’s amazing.

Rafa comes in and performs miracles, wins the Champions League in his first season & then the FA Cup, both the greatest finals each comp has ever seen.

He gets us into another Champions League final in which we batter AC Milan but end up loosing 2-1. He’s signed the world best goal keeper and striker and revamped the scouting department. He’s worked tirelessly putting in huge hours every week since he got here.

However directly above him we have these American shitbags running the club into the ground. Withholding funds for players and promising a new stadium they have no intention of building. This JR shitbag insults a fan in a disgusting manner. . . . . . . . and the papers are calling for Rafa to be sacked?

    WTF?

  3. I think it’s a bit of a double edge sword because anyone can act in an offensive manner even when not pushed to hard, you just have to look at our ‘yob culture’ to see how in any given moment people can be very stupid even violent.

I think allot of the ‘hype’ comes from who this guy is and the fact that he did a stupid thing is just a small part of it because let’s be honest if it was someone else at the club it mite not be such a big thing.

Im not saying he was rite , far from it however rather than get worked up over the things that matter like getting three points than wasting my time on a foolish, spoilt rich boy. Y.N.W.A.

  4. I suspect Hicks jnr is no better than the rest of these dreadful people who see LFC as an income tool and nothing else.

However, it doesn’t sit too well with me if he has resigned because of his foul language.

Scousers use bad language all the time and there is nothing wrong with that as far as I am concerned, and is more in keeping with our club culture than cheap, well honed, ” management speak “, which I for one,
find more offensive than bad language.

  5. As an American (and Texan, no less), things that sadden me:

    – Tom Hicks’ ownership stake in the Texas Rangers (baseball), Dalls Stars (hockey), and Liverpool.

If past performance with the Rangers and Stars is any indicator of future results, we have a LONG while to wait before Liverpool takes the League… or anything else, for that matter. The Stars have one Stanely Cup (1999), and the Rangers haven’t even been to the World Series.

    Ever.

Here’s hoping Liverpool can do better, but to say I’m doubtful is an understatement.

  6. has anyone got the correct telephone number and or email details for both the owners, please this is a must, i have tryed to use the emails what i have but they are bouncing back, we have to act as one for this great club and use what has happened today to put pressure on these frauds, please i ask any liverpool fan who loves the club to get involved trying anything they can to create a storm for these lying cheating owners. come on liverpool lets get these two out…

owners leave,,, get out of our club, get out,,,,,
