Today’s scheduled televised game between Liverpool and Fulham at 5.30pm has been postponed.
Following heavy snow which begun late last evening, and is still falling currently, Merseyside Police have decided the game should not go ahead in the interests of safety of the spectators.
Liverpool will announce a new date for the fixture in due course. Ticket holders will have the option of a refund or keeping their valid ticket for that game.
A statement from the club read:
“Club officials met with the Police this morning to assess the prevailing weather conditions.
“The safety of all fans attending the game is paramount and although the Anfield pitch is playable, the conditions around the stadium and further afield for people travelling to the match are such that the decision was taken, following Police advice on safety grounds, to postpone the game.
“All existing tickets will remain valid for the re-arranged fixture. We will also offer refunds and publish a deadline date for refunds once the re-arranged game date is announced, to enable us to re-sell any returned seats to other supporters.
“Any guests who have purchased hospitality for the game are advised to retain their tickets as they will be valid for the new date. We will advise all supporters of the new date as soon as possible.”

Torres, where was he in this season?! instead of asking why he’s never in the right place and never likely tries to attack through the middle, people give Kuyt the fault or Rodriguez or Lucas…?! thats why i am sick of people that i soeak to connected with the club ,making out its a bad time to buy, it most certainly is not a bad time to buy. id like us to add suarez and mata and young and coentrao in just one window,,, why not? all we hear from the sco called great new owners is they want to win, well prove it!
there is so much talent out there that could be got to in jan, and that would help so we would have to buy so much in the summer, the sooner we get on with getting quality in,
i just can’t hear the name torres anymore everybody weining about him. hes playing absolutely spiritless ans sluggish! i don’t even like to see him in first team action! i know its nino but enough is enough! yes i do hope he comes back but i just don’t get rid of the feeling that he will leave us in the summer latest! and i don’t think so i’m the only one who thinks in this direction, am i?
