Brad Jones joins Derby County on loan

In a deal which is hardly suprising, given the fact that Jones has fallen to 3rd choice Liverpool goalkeeper behind Peter Gulacsi, Brad Jones has moved to Derby on loan until the end of the season.

From LFC.TV

‘Liverpool have confirmed Brad Jones has joined Derby County on an emergency loan until May 7.

The Australian international goalkeeper arrived at Anfield last summer after signing from Middlesbrough.

Jones made his Reds debut in the League Cup third round tie with Northampton Town in September, but has made just one further senior appearance since.

He will link up with fellow on-loan Red Daniel Ayala at Pride Park.’

Jones, 29 has cost the reds £1.25 million per appearance since being signed from Middlesborough by Roy Hodgson in the summer.
