Denmark boss increases pressure on Poulsen move

Pressure is increasing on Christian Poulsen to find a new club, from the unlikely source of the manager of his national team, Morten Olsen.

The 31 year old player has been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield since Dalglish’s arrival, despite Roy Hodgson’s £5M purchase of the player from Juventus last summer.

Poulsen is the captain of the national team, but this has not stopped him being dropped by the manager for next month’s important Euro 2012 qualifier against rivals Norway.

Olsen stated:

“He’s stressed by his situation, that’s why I’ve chosen to overlook him this time.

“We hope that Christian finds a good club and gets playing time so that he can return against Portugal and Cyprus in October.”

Liverpool will have little chance of recouping the £5M they paid for the player last summer, but with the arrivals of three midfielders, coupled with the steady progression of Jay Spearing, it appears that Poulsen is a growing member of the unwanted over-30’s at Anfield.

  1. Please Mr Poulson for the sake of your career and Liverpool FC leave us as soon as possible! You were bought by Roy Hodgson a man punching way up his league without much of a clue, please follow him out!

You’re no way near good enough to ever play for us again especially when we are so well served in the middle of the park. You’re not part of our future plans so just accpet it and buzz off!. Don’t hit the door on your way out!

  2.  I wont be too disappointed to see Poulsen go, he never really did live up to potential, but not so happy to see Aquilani go, I thought the few times he was allowed on the pitch he our shone most of the regular faces,, One more thing,, So Alex Slurguson is going to give interviews to the bbc,, whoopie doo,, now we can expect,,, comments like. “The ref was on their side”  and ” I f****ing love you,, your my besht mate”
