LFC Academy gunning for title glory

Liverpool FC’s Reserves and Under 18s are both in action in the next 48 hours.

The reserves take on Manchester United at Anfield tomorrow (Thursday 5th May). Kick off is 7pm for those who want to head down to Anfield to attend the game.

LFC’s reserves have had a relatively poor season winning only 5 of their 18 games – although the team has had a change of coach, there have been promotions to the first team, as well as injuries and a large number of players loaned out.

Then on Friday morning at the Academy, the youth side kick off at 11am – needing 3 points against Wolves to overtake Everton and win the Premier Academy League Group C.

The reds beat Wolves 4-0 away yesterday,   If they win the game and the league, they enter the playoff semi-finals with the other 3 group winners – and have a chance at becoming Champions for the first time.

Arsenal Under 18’s have won the overall title for the last two seasons.

  1. If the Academy play as well as they did against united last month there should be no problems, could even have a good chance of going all the way!
