Djib planning ‘No Mercy’ to Liverpool

Liverpool take on QPR in a rearranged Premier League fixture tomorrow night and former red Djibril Cisse looks forward to facing ‘his club’.

The 30 year old Frenchman returned to the Premier League with QPR at the end of January and has already hit 2 goals in 3 appearances.

Cisse spent two seasons at Anfield – being signed by Gerard Houllier but arriving at Liverpool just after Rafa Benitez had taken over.  He had a hand in all three trophies he won in his two years at Liverpool –  the European Cup (converting a penalty), the FA Cup (scoring the first goal) and a European Super Cup (scoring two goals).

Speaking ahead of the game Djibril said:

“All my trophies I won with Liverpool, it’s a special club for me, but for an hour and a half, there is no mercy,”

“It’s my club to be honest, but when the whistle blows that feeling will disappear.”

“It was difficult to leave Liverpool because it wasn’t my decision.  Rafa Benitez told me ‘you’re not in my plans’, so I had to leave.

“I was really sad because I did well in the short time that I played, and I thought I deserved better treatment. But that’s the way it was and I have to accept it.

“I don’t feel like I have a point to prove to Liverpool because the staff has changed, and a lot of players have changed. If it was the same staff, then I definitely would.”

Liverpool take on QPR away tomorrow evening at 8pm.
