Liverpool release Jen Chang after twitter debacle

Liverpool have parted ways with former communications chief, just months after his appointment.

Jen Chang was appointed this summer to improve Liverpool's PR department but caused the club some embarrassing PR by himself when he decided to meet up with a twitter user - convinced that the user has a 'mole' inside the Anfield club.

A Liverpool spokesman said:

"I can confirm Jen Chang has left Liverpool football club by mutual consent and has returned to the United States for family reasons.”

  1. My biggest fear for this club, at times, is the management itself. Let’s also keep in mind the way in which they sacked Steve Clarke. As someone who resides on the other side of the pond this is the way in which business is done in the States, though not always. There appears to be a lack of tact, particularly in light of the Clarke and Chang dismissals. The Chang circumstance may be a different sort of incident but still it is a cause for concern. I just hope FSG, as an organisation, have a grasp on what they are doing and will do well by the club, the supporters, and the city of Liverpool. But let us not easily forget, what came before and the ramifications of that debacle.
