Rodgers waiting for a better attitude from Luis Suarez

Brendan Rodgers insisted that Luis Suarez' future remains at Liverpool once his attitude improves.

"There will come a point where he'll recognise the club is not going to sell.

The Liverpool boss was speaking ahead of today's final pre-season friendly against Celtic.

"We're quite calm. The club is in control of the situation.

"We've got no inclination to sell and we've been strong on that.

"He's a world-class striker. I've got no question that when he's back he'll have a similar impact.

Rodgers also said he would return to training with the rest of the players.

"It's been a difficult period for him but it's my job to protect the group.

"Once he's back with the spirit he'll rejoin the group.

Brendan's comments follow John Henry's statement insisting Luis Suarez was not for sale.

  1. Raheem is not guilty until proven in the court when the case comes up again. Although it is a personal matter, Liverpool would handle the matter internally, without having the entire media going overboard. Brendan will have talked to him by now and told him the standards of this iconic club. He is only young and inmature, perhaps. At the same time getting involved in two assult of women cases will not be tolerated at any club. If he has done it, he will be punished according to the law in Britain and face the consequences I believe. There is always two sides to the story. Some women are known to make it difficult for the guys, just to get attention and fame, while others may cause trouble to break away from a relation. Lets wait and see the outcome first before nailing the guy.

  2. I’m waiting to see the misguided ill thought through support from Brendan being directed towards Sterling. Biting russians is a no no but hitting Miss Britain is just fine…..Liverfools don’t even understand what a principle is XD Welcome to Anfailed !
