CAPTURE: Liverpool announce Alberto Moreno deal

Liverpool FC have announced an agreement to bring Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno to Anfield.

The reds have conducted a long pursuit of the player over the summer but a £12M deal has now been agreed between the clubs.

Sevilla initially wanted €20M (£16M) for the player.

The player was withdrawn from the starting line-up ahead of last night's European Super Cup clash between Sevilla and Real Madrid.

The club will announce further details in the coming days when the deal is complete.

Moreno has participated in three La Liga seasons for Sevilla, and similarly to Jon Flanagan, was involved in his country's 30 man pre-World Cup squad before failing to make the final 23 of Spain's poor attempt at retaining the World Cup.

He has 3 international caps all gathered within the past 12 months, and has scored 3 times in his 61 senior appearances for Sevilla.
