Gerrard and Dalglish join forces for LFC Charity Match

Steven Gerrard and Kenny Dalglish will join Margaret Aspinall of the Hillsborough Families Support Group (HFSG) in today's press conference to preview the LFC Charity Match.

In honour of the 25th anniversary of the disaster a 'Celebration of the 96' match will take place at Anfield on Easter Monday (April 21st) between a local LFC legends side and an international legends side.

Managing the respective LFC teams on the day will be Kenny Dalglish and Gerard Houllier.

The 'local' team is effectively a British side, containing the likes of David James, Jamie Carragher, Gary McAllister, Ray Houghton, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, Peter Beardsley and John Barnes.

Meanwhile Houllier will have the luxury of some of our overseas imports, such as Luis Garcia, Markus Babbel, Jan Molby, Stephane Henchoz, Stig Inge Bjornebye, Dietmar Hamann and Vladimir Smicer.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for kids. ST holders and LFC club members can order now. General sale kicks off tomorrow.
