Liverpool physio Chris Morgan is to leave the club after 10 years as Jurgen Klopp continues his background reorganisation at the reds.
A Liverpool statement read:
"Chris is someone who commands the professional respect and personal warmth of the first-team players and all his colleagues at Melwood.
"The dedication and commitment he has shown to Liverpool, over a long period, has been immense. His expertise and experience has rightly gained him industry-wide recognition. We thank Chris for his considerable contribution and everyone at the club wishes him success for the future."
Chris himself took to social network Instagram to thank the club for the opportunity of not just working at the club but also assisting in a charity campaign he was involved in.
When I started at Liverpool 10 years ago I never dreamt I would get to experience the things I did and play a tiny role at a club of Liverpool's standing and history. Thank you to those who gave me a chance at the club all those years ago.. Thank you to those who I worked for and alongside .. Thank you to those who trusted me and to the hundreds of players I have worked with over the years..I hope you always felt I gave 100% This role gave me the chance to raise £75k for Christies charity in memory of Gary Ablett and as a thank you for saving my dads life - I know I couldn't have done that without the profile a club like Liverpool brings and the support and generosity of the fans!! 🙌🏼 Finally I would like to wish Jurgen, the owners, the backroom staff, the players and the club in general the best of luck for next season and beyond in what Iam sure is going to be a successful period for Liverpool!! 👊🏻
Klopp has already targeted individuals from Bayern Munich - with Andreas Kornmayer as the new fitness coach and nutritionist Mona Nemmer coming in to the club.
Liverpool's first pre-season game is in 3 weeks time against Tranmere although many of the players from Euro 2016 will not join up with the squad until later in pre-season.
