Liverpool’s 2016-17 Premier League fixture list released!

Liverpool will travel to Arsenal for the opening game of the Premier League season.  Although the game is scheduled for Saturday August 13th - the high profile nature of the game could see it moved for television.

The reds return to a newly redeveloped Anfield on the 20th August - with newly promoted Burnley travelling to Anfield.

However, there are suggestions that LFC have written to Burnley requesting that this game be played at Burnley - with the Anfield fixture being played on the 11th March.

This is because the new stadium may not be completed on time.

This would mean Liverpool's first home game would not be until 10th September.

The reds continue with more difficult games - Spurs away, and then hosting champions Leicester City before a trip to Chelsea and new manager Antonio Conte.

The first Merseyside derby, at Goodison, will be held the week before Christmas - before the Anfield return fixture scheduled for the 1st April.

Liverpool will end the season at home against Middlesbrough.

The difficult opening five games are effectively repeated from the beginning of February - when the reds will again face the three big London sides as well as Leicester in the space of 5 games.
