‘Your support will keep this club big for eternity’ – LFC players reflect on season

Liverpool's players took to social media in the aftermath of the 3-0 win over Middlesbrough as the season reached it's finale.

It was Gini Wijnaldum who started the scoring just before half time. Β He described it as the perfect way to end the season. Β Wijnaldum has finished joint 6th in the Premier League for assists, but his goals have proved important along the way (all scored at home, just like last season for Newcastle).

Simon Mignolet ended the season well too - with the reds suddenly collecting a number of clean sheets towards the end of the campaign.

The Liverpool owner and his wife were also in attendance at Anfield.

Divock Origi came on as a late substitute today for the reds. Β He was the reds 4th highest scorer of the season with 11 goals.

Roberto Firmino (with 11 league goals) was another pivotal player in LFC's season as he improved further in his second season at Anfield.
