Moreno has faith in Klopp to decide return date

Alberto Moreno is nearing his return to the Liverpool side - but is confident in the Liverpool managers decision about when to bring him back.

After a year spent behind James Milner, Moreno knuckled down and kept quiet while he worked hard on his game.  And he started the season as the first choice left back when many thought his days at Anfield were numbered.

He enjoyed a good half of the season, with his only blip arriving in a return to Sevilla - a game in which Klopp later admitted that he should have read the signs concerning the build up to the game.

It was during Liverpool's 7-0 demolition of Spartak Moscow, a game that sealed Liverpool's qualification to the next stage of the Champions League, that Moreno suffered his ankle injury.

Moreno said:

"I can still feel it’s not quite right but it’s getting better every day and the good thing is that I’m training with the rest of the group.

"We’re just waiting for this little discomfort to go away and then I’ll be raring to go."

Andy Robertson has filled in neatly for the Spaniard, who was called up to the international side not long before his injury, and Moreno admits that although he is back in training he has trust in the manager to decide when he is ready.

It’ll be the manager who decides exactly when I come back but what I do want to make sure of is that I’m fully 100 per cent when I do make my comeback.

Liverpool take on West Brom in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
