Joel Matip and Alisson both return for today's game.

The reds travel to Old Trafford for today's big game and in search of what could be an 18th consecutive top Premier League win.  If the reds do get the three points they would equal the record in English football which is currently held by Man City.

But Liverpool haven't had all the luck at Old Trafford down the year, and were held to a 0-0 draw just 6 months ago.  It was one of only two draws the reds suffered in the final months of the Premier League season.

In fact the reds have failed to win in their last six trips to this stadium - and in all League games between the two sides - the reds have won just 1 of the last 10.

Man City won their game yesterday reducing the gap down to 5 points - Liverpool will be hoping to stretch that back to 8 points with a decent result this afternoon.

Joel Matip and Alisson Becker both return for Liverpool - but the reds are without Mo Salah for this clash.  Fabinho, Henderson and Wijnaldum play in midfield.

Full LFC Team:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Origi, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana.

Man Utd Team:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe, Fred, McTominay, James, Andreas, Young, Rashford.

Subs: Romero, Rojo, Williams, Garner, Mata, Greenwood, Martial.

  1. Half time at OT. Wow, we suck. We look more like Brighton or Everton than a CL winning team. Maybe it’s better if we lose this game, it would burst the stupid bubble of invincibility and the team will maybe improve. This team is too average to be invincible.

  2. I don’t like that Alisson is back already, and onto such a high profile game. Adrian deserves some trust and respect for being excellent and above expectations. It’s poor team management imo.
