Allen has been a periphery figure for most of 2013 at Liverpool. Injury and Jordan Henderson's elevation above him in the pecking order have seen his first team opportunities limited.
However, he was one of many to have a good game yesterday in the absence of Liverpool club captain, Steven Gerrard.

Great performance by Allen! Spurs were no where near their level on the day. Also I thought Raheem had a great game too.
