Jurgen Klopp has delivered his pre-match press conference ahead of the League Cup 2nd Round.  The reds will be in action against Championship side Burton Albion tomorrow evening.

“It’s good that in football you have the chance to show in the next game.”Jurgen Klopp

Klopp suggested there would not be huge changes to the starting line up for the cup clash when he suggested it would be unlikely he would make '7 or 8 changes'.

The boss was asked about plans any further potential signings - the transfer window closes in 10 days time.  Despite the fact it was a rare error from Nathaniel Clyne and poor defending from Klavan and Lovren that led to the two Burnley goals, the media has continued to place focus on the left-back position.

It was a message that appears to be wearing thin on Jurgen.

“I wait for the day when the transfer window is closed. I can’t believe how obsessed you all are with this.”

“What will happen we will see, I don’t know in this moment, but we do not have a preferred position to sign players.”

Jurgen says the reds are taking Burton very seriously, as they should with Burton only one division below.

"They’re a good team who have had spectacular results - it's a nice story.

“This year, hopefully we have a better situation with injuries. I like cup games, and we will be competitive.

“We have to show that we want to be in this competition. It’s about respecting the game, working hard, playing football.”
