kenny-dalglishKenny Dalglish’s long expected return to Anfield is complete after the club made an official statement today.

Several Liverpool forums have been on tenterhooks in recent days awaiting an imminent announcement.

As expected, the former reds player and manager, will return to a senior role in the Academy and also act as an official Ambassador for the club liaising with the commercial department.

New Managing Director, Christian Purslow announced:

“In our very first meeting Rafa and I agreed that we wanted to try and bring Kenny back to the club to help Rafa really drive forward our Academy which is at the heart of our plans for the future.

We are delighted he has agreed to join us and I am sure he will be very successful in his new role back at the club.”

Welcome back King Kenny.
