A win today will see the reds move into second place in the Premier League before Man United's game tomorrow.
And Patrice Evra makes his debut for West Ham today. Fingers crossed he doesn't launch a violent attack on a supporter today.
He is still banned from UEFA competitions until June after kicking one of his own Marseille supporters in the head back in November.
If you saw our article last week you will know that the reds are enjoying their most prolific goalscoring season in the clubs history.
Liverpool's next goal will be our 100th of the season in all competitions.
It was a good day earlier this afternoon for Steven Gerrard's Under-18 side.
They beat Wolves 2-1 meaning they move up to 2nd place in the Premier League Under 18's table. They are 4 points behind leaders Manchester United with a game in hand.
Now, can the first team also get a win to move into second place?
We're underway at Anfield on a bright winters day.
West Ham kick off towards the Kop.
3' Mo Salah looking for his 31st goal of the season! He links up with Firmino, but Adrian got the faintest of touches to push it on to the post.
6' Liverpool taking advantage with this first half sun in the eyes of the opposition. There are long shadows on the pitch.
The West Ham half is basked in sunshine and Liverpool are threading quick neat balls around inside it.
Plenty of men behind the ball from West Ham. Their two aging full backs are just that - it's almost a flat back 5 for them.
7' Milner corner kick. Clean header for van Dijk but Adrian is down low to claim it.
11' Patrice Evra loudly booed on every touch he receives down that left hand side of the pitch.
Seems the kind of player who could be encouraged to 'react'.
23' Midway through the half. The reds haven't kicked on as West Ham have improved.
James Milner was felled by a Mark Noble challenge but after some initial concern - is back on the pitch.
29' Emre Can heads in Liverpool's 100th of the season from a corner.
That's his 6th goal of the season.
32' It's almost 2-0 for the reds as Robertson sends in a cross.
Salah's at the back post but can't shake off the attention of the defender.
42' Arnautavic with a decent shot that requires a good save from Loris Karius as it dips at the final second.
Remains 1-0 as half time approaches.
An interesting half but Emre Can got Liverpool's 100th goal and the reds lead 1-0.
Newcastle leading 2-0 away at Bournemouth, Brighton leading 1-0 v Swansea.
Just 4 goals in the five 3pm kick offs which are all half time.
Back underway - the reds kicking towards the Kop.
51' Oxlade-Chamberlain slides the ball through for MO SALAH to make it 2-0. His 31st goal of the season. Liverpool looking good for the win here.
56' Adrian has to race out there to intercept an opportunity for Salah.
57' Liverpool win the ball back and they're on the march again. Adrian came out but the Brazilian is in like a shot Roberto Firmino scores to make it 3-0!
David Moyes about to make it 15 managerial appearances at Anfield.
59' Antonio has just come on for Lanzini and after the reds lose the ball in midfield, he is fed the ball and slides it past Loris Karius.
Liverpool 3-1 West Ham
Liverpool have had a couple of chances to make it 4.
Sadio Mane with another chance - Adrian has been a very busy keeper today with some decent saves.
Firmino's finishing pose for his goal.
73' Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain feeds Sadio Mane but he finds the post! He wants to join the party again but the woodwork denies his left footed shot.
76' Well there we go - Sadio Mane does get his goal. Well worked goal from the back - great Robertson cross and Sadio Mane puts it in from close range.
82' Bobby Firmino heads off and on comes Adam Lallana.
86' Salah and Mane head off with Solanke and Moreno coming on for the final few minutes.
Wonderful win for Liverpool who go second in the Premier League.
Who will drop points tomorrow, Chelsea, Man United, or both?
