Aquilani planning October return

AquilaniWith Liverpool’s crunch clash against Manchester United towards the second half of October, the reds will be looking for the perfect morale booster and the long awaited debut of Alberto Aquilani looks on the cards in the next month.

Aquilani picked up his ankle injury in March whilst with Roma, and the reds expect him to take a step up in training in just over a weeks time.

The reds have pencilled in the Sunderland clash, a week before the United game to hopefully see him play some part and make his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt.

Liverpool’s doctors are said to be very confident they have cured a recurrent problem with the player’s ankle.

Aquilani planning October return

  1. I hope he his fit and he is not just rushed thru because of the Man U game , personally I dont think we are inferior to them and last season proved that ,to me it always seemed a mental block and last season we overcame that emphatically no matter what purple nosed says (we were the better team after a 4;1 hammering ), I know it was disappointing to lose two games in the first week of the season but if we can cut out the draws we can afford to lose more than the 2 games we lost last season.

  2. It will be a good tonic for Liverpool to have him back. We, the fans, are hoping he did fit into the squad and settle properly to help give the other EPL teams a good fight for the cup.

  3. Be good to see him finally play for us but any player making their debut in this league is difficult never mind against United after a long lay off. I think I’d rather see him on the bench for both the Sunderland and United game and give him a run out in both at some stage.

  4. Well said Frank. He cant play in the United game if it means he’ll be rushed back. Surely it would be better to make sure he’s 100%. Even if he does make it back for the Sunderland game beforehand it would be throwing him in the deep end a bit playing him in the United game, well from the starting line up anyway.

  6. I reckon thats good for liverpool and it will start making players like masherano get back to his amzing form. And it might make lucas work even harder.

  7. I hope he is fit for the united game but more important I hope the ref keeps an eye on the animals scholes and roony, who I`m sure will try to injure him again
