Following on from Rafa Benitez contract extension, the rest of the backroom staff, including Assistant boss Sammy Lee have signed extended deals with the club.
Assistant Manager Sammy Lee, First Team Coach Mauricio Pellegrino, Goalkeeping Coach Xavi Valero, Fitness Coach Paco de Miguel and Chief Scout Eduardo Macia have all received extensions on their contracts of at least an extra 2 years
Rafa Benitez said:
“I said when I signed my own deal recently that it was a priority to sort out the future of the technical staff.
“We work extremely well as a team and continuity is essential if we are to build on the progress we have made this season and move the club further forward. I’m delighted we have been able to sort out the contracts.”
Fantastic news. Stability is the key. Now lets get our key players signed up on long term deals.
Rafa is doing things the right way and putting the club first. As a club, we will reap massive benefits from our new found stability. The conditions are in place and youth structures are right for sustained success.
