Reds’ injury list easing

Some positive news from Melwood

Fernando Torres and Glen Johnson remain on the Anfield treatment table but assistant boss Sammy Lee today focussed on the returning players.

Speaking to the official site he was pleased to welcome back the reds utility man, Fabio Aurelio, who has been out with an injury to his calf sustained against Stoke two weeks ago.

“Fabio is back in training which is good news

“Whether he will be ready for Saturday, well we will have to assess that in the next few days.

The reds also welcome the return of two right sided squad players.

“But the positive thing is that we have Nabil, Martin Kelly and Fabio back in training.”

Liverpool’s match against Everton is at 12.45pm on Saturday.

  1. El Zhar is a decent player and if given a chance he could be a good player.

The problem is when your academy produces the likes of Carra, Gerrard, owen, Fowler (AKA GOD), McMannaman ect we can all get carried away in thinking these types of players are or should be produced as standard every season but the reality is that players of that calibre are few and far between in any side !

Arsenal have bought theirs in for years as do chelsea now
and there are very few clubs who produce premier quality as standard every year .
But we do have some quality home grown (by that i mean british) talent in the likes of Spearing, Kelly, Derby,Irwin,Eccleston, ince (he will be their soon) along with some of the quality imports we’ve got .

  2. I’ve been a pool fan ever since my uncle took me to see liverpool play ipswich way back in 1978. I can still remeber it – the pool won 2 nil it was great. I’ve seen some great players Ian Rush, Keegan, Fowler, Owen and now Torres, but at the moment things aren’t going their way what with injuries and other things behind the closed doors. Come on Liverpool it’s time we got back to the old winning ways its been 19 years. I’m right behind Rafa but its the league that i would love to see us hold again. I think i speak for all the pool fans out there as well.

Get Torres fit and Gerrard fully fit and start spending a bit of money on players.

  3. Nabil El Zhar, is a very good talent who needs to be worked wit same as babel . but we may lose them if not getting first team games
