Gerrard to miss a month after surgery

Steven Gerrard will be out for ‘up to 4 weeks’ according to the official LFC website after undergoing successful groin surgery.

The player was a doubt for last weekend’s clash against Manchester United, a game which he clearly struggled through, before being excluded from the trip to Braga.

Gerrard has been troubled in recent years with similar injuries and will miss next week’s return leg of Braga in the 2nd leg.

He is also set to miss the away league games at Sunderland and facing former boss Hodgson at West Brom.

Man City return?

All eyes will be on whether he can return in time for the home game against Man City on the 11th April, followed a week later by a tough clash away at Arsenal.

The original injury was picked up in the away victory over Chelsea, the player then missed international duty before 3 Liverpool games – but was below par during both the West Ham defeat and the Man Utd victory.

  1. This is actually great news- means he is finally going to get the treatment he needs to be like the player we have seen throughout his LFC career! I think he has battled through this season with injuries for far too long.
