Former Liverpool owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett labelled untrustworthy by court

A judge at the High Court today labelled the former Liverpool owners as untrustworthy during the pair's latest legal litigation connected with the sale of Liverpool Football Club.

Former Liverpool owners labelled as 'untrustworthy' by High Court Judge

The former owners are continuing their objection to the sale of Liverpool Football Club, in a case mounted against the Royal Bank of Scotland and former chairman of the club.

However the judge paid reference to the amazing injunction that the owners got in Texas during the dramatic sale of Liverpool FC when he said to the pairs lawyers:

“I do not trust your clients.

“They have demonstrated ... that if it suits them they will abuse the process.”

At that time Hicks and Gillett conveniently forgot to remind the American court that there was already a legal case ongoing in the United Kingdom.

In this latest case, Tom Hicks and George Gillett had wanted to see confidential documents related to the sale of the club, but the judge has denied them access, citing their 'potential misconduct'.

It is believed that the American duo lost out to the tune of £150M after their debt-laden ownership of the club between 2007 and 2010.
