Liverpool ended an impressive week - with 10 goals put away, 9 points collected and just one goal conceded.

Phil Coutinho and Dejan Lovren have been missing from the reds side this week due to minor injuries but it hasn't phased the reds who enjoyed their best week of the season to date.

Today's win away at West Ham was looking on from the 24th minute with Mo Salah and Joel Matip putting the reds ahead.

West Ham came back with a goal in the 55th minute, but their threat was ended seconds later when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took the second bite of the cherry to make it 3-1.  Mo Salah fired in a well placed finish to round the scoring off at 4-1 and cement Liverpool's position back inside the top six.

The team news provided some interest.  Sadio Mane not just named in the squad but in the starting line up.  Not just that - but Gini Wijnaldum also made a rapid return to the starting line up (he was taken off after just 15 minutes on Wednesday night).

Jordan Henderson was ruled out - meaning that Emre Can could play in the controlling role in midfield - and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain got his chance, finally, to show what he could do for Liverpool in his preferred midfield role.

Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip continued their new found relationship in central defence, and Klopp utilised both his newly called up internationals - Alberto Moreno and Joe Gomez in their traditional left and right back roles.

West Ham had mounted the first chance at goal when Mignolet was beaten at the near post - only to see a chance bounce away from the post.

But it was Liverpool who scored first - the pace of Mane, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Salah overpowering West Ham in a quick break from a West Ham corner.  Mane found Salah who put the ball past Joe Hart.

From a reds corner moments later Liverpool made it 2.  Joel Matip reacting quickest inside the box from a poorly defended second ball to place the ball into the net.

Lanzini shook off the attentions of Joe Gomez in the 55th minute to put the ball past the Liverpool keeper but their renewed faith was ended shortly after.   Oxlade Chamberlain saw a shot returned from Hart before putting his second attempt past him to cement his first Premier League start for LFC with a first LFC Premier League goal.

Sadio Mane's terrific pace and determination resulted in a 4th goal for LFC.  He squared the pass to Salah who fired the ball neatly but powerfully past the West Ham keeper.

West Ham may be facing managerial turmoil but the win provides the perfect tonic for Liverpool who now have a brighter looking future.

The international break is now here and with players returning the selection headache for Jurgen Klopp is likely to now mount in a positive way.
