Lemar, Van Dijk, Oxlade-Chamberlain linked in the final LFC push

Liverpool are linked with three signings as the transfer window deadline draws closer.

Clubs have until 11pm tomorrow night to complete their business of player recruitment until the window reopens in January.

The reds most immediate target had appeared to be Thomas Lemar, the 21 year old French midfielder who could come with a club record transfer price of around £60M.

Reports in France suggest the two clubs were engaged actively in discussing a deal.

Counter claims have suggested that Barcelona have got involved in a proposed deal and after the intervention in North London last night, the reds have switched focus.

That's because Oxlade-Chamberlain last night rejected a move to Chelsea.  Arsenal and Chelsea had shook hands on a £40M transfer but the player elected against the move.  He is said to prefer a move to Liverpool - although the reds have only just begun their discussions with the Gunners.

Update (5pm UK): Oxlade Chamberlain fee agreed with Arsenal

Oxlade-Chamberlain is represented by agent Aidy Ward, who famously represents Raheem Sterling.  He has been effusive in his praise for Jurgen Klopp and insisted since Sterling's Man City move that Brendan Rodgers was the main reason behind the falling out back in the late spring of 2015.

And the Virgil van Dijk deal (Liverpool's most important according to the majority of our followers on social media) currently looks the one least likely to come off.

Southampton have insisted all summer long that they don't need to sell, won't sell and certainly wouldn't sell to Liverpool.  But even the South coast club might not be able to turn away a significant bid which could be in the region of £65M.
